Captain Hook is the main musical project of Reshef Harari, a leading electronic musician, producer & DJ. For two decades Reshef has been pushing the envelope, innovating and developing his musical vision, production methods, live performance & DJing techniques. While focusing mainly on Psychedelic & Progressive Trance he also branched out into Techno, Bass & Electronica realms, breaking free of formulas. With six top-selling albums with Iboga Records, countless single and compilation releases, and collaborating with the best electronic music producers, Captain Hook has been playing in every conceivable festival, party, and venue worldwide.

In recent years Reshef’s studio evolution saw him creating more traditionally, working on synthesis, on understanding the signal flow, directing the sound into parallel recordings using outboard gear, and only then processing it digitally. In the age of instant, he goes back to the roots of electronic music creation, which might be time-consuming but results in a unique and distinct sound design for his projects. Music-wise he has been exploring the roots of Psytrance & Goa Trance and together with his unique contemporary approach creating a special blend that is delivering a strong and spiritual dancefloor effect.

With his latest album – Origin – Captain Hook re-invented his sound yet again, going back to his origins and blending modern and vintage approaches to writing and producing Trance music. The album was released digitally, on CD, and a triple vinyl with a strong audio-visual concept. It’s a full experience, a true journey into deep hypnotic trance, and has been embraced globally by dancefloors and music lovers as a fresh breeze in the forest of Psychedelic Trance and beyond.

His recent projects include the debut album of Alien Art and his joint creative endeavor with friend and fellow musician Yoni Oshrat of Ace Ventura fame. The two have also been performing with the project Globally. Another project unfolding now is an ambitious three-edition remix album series called Ouroboros. Ouroboros presents interpretations from leading artists of Captain Hook’s music in three broad musical genres: Techno, Bass/Dub, and Psytrance. The project is spread over three album releases titled Past, Present & Future, and each is also released as high-quality triple vinyl.
