Biography
Darwish is one of the leading Djs & artists in the Israeli Trance music scene.
His involvement In so many cross genre projects makes him also one of the busiest Dj’s in Israel.
Ozora festival or performing with famous Israeli singer Marina Maximilian. Djing electronic world music or collaborating with the singer Mosh Ben ari. Scorching Techno dance floors under his Deep Dave project or djing in high profile weddings. Playing a set for the 15th Macabia open ceremony or an underground rave in the dead sea. Darwish has done it all.
Being active from the early 90’s gave Darwish the opportunity to be present in every historic intersection of the trance scene. Creating great tracks and music and growing the next generations of dj’s in his productions or in his music production school and by that clearing a wide path for the next to come, is his way of becoming a leading force in Trance music and beyond.
Darwish was born as David Abramov in Haifa, a port city in north Israel.
His mom was a pianist, she was playing in ballet school and Darwish used to tag along with her sitting on the piano while she played. That was love on the first site with music.
Later on in the 90’s Darwish started to produce and DJ in desert raves with his big brother Itzik.
Their parties took off and became a huge name in Israel, nevertheless they always had a distinctive vibe of a big family gathering for the whole tribe. Up until today Darwish production “Desert Adventure” is considered to be one of the best and the oldest trance productions in Israel and it is sold out in a few minutes.
Darwish music takes inspiration from tribal beats and world music as well as from the desert hot sun and the freedom sunsation you can find there. A kaleydoskop of cultures and influences spirals in his tracks with a beat that doesn’t let go creating an ancient story of inner beat conjoint to all.
